Our client is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer/Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects from design through permitting, bidding, construction support, and closeout. This role offers high technical ownership, direct client visibility, and a long‑term path toward leadership, ownership, or partnership.
The firm supports rural water supply corporations, municipalities, and public‑sector utility clients across Texas. Current projects include water distribution systems, wells, elevated storage tanks, treatment plants, and related utility infrastructure.

Work Model: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite weekly + remote work)
Travel: Client meetings, board meetings, field visits, and site inspections across Texas
Responsibilities:
- Mentorship - Potentially mentor EITs, junior engineers, technicians, or design staff as the firm grows.
- Technical Direction - Coordinate with drafting staff and provide technical direction for project production.
- Fieldwork - Participate in client meetings, board meetings, field visits, site inspections, and statewide travel.
- TCEQ Permitting - Prepare and manage TCEQ submittals, regulatory documentation, and approval workflows.
- Project Management - Manage projects from planning and design through bidding, construction support, and closeout.
- Plan Review & Design - Review, design, and sign/seal civil engineering plans for water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Client Interaction - Serve as engineering point of contact for municipalities, rural water supply corporations, and utility clients.
- Public Bidding - Develop bid packages, support public bidding, review contractor submissions, and assist clients during execution.
- Water/Wastewater Systems - Lead design of distribution lines, wells, storage tanks/towers, treatment plants, and municipal utility systems.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Civil Engineering degree — Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Texas PE license — Current, active Professional Engineer license in the State of Texas with the ability to review and seal engineering plans.
- 6+ years of civil engineering experience — Experience in water/wastewater, municipal infrastructure, utilities, or public‑works projects.
- Project management background — Experience covering design, bidding, client coordination, construction support, and full project delivery.
- TCEQ regulatory experience — Demonstrated experience with TCEQ submittals, permitting, regulatory requirements, and approval workflows.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Established Central Texas network (Austin, Taylor, Pflugerville, etc.)
- Interest or experience in business development and client relationship building.
- Experience mentoring or leading EITs, junior engineers, technicians, or drafting staff.
- Experience supporting rural water supply corporations, municipalities, or utility clients.
- Familiarity with public‑sector bidding, infrastructure funding, and board‑level client interaction.
- Design experience with water distribution systems, wells, towers/storage facilities, and treatment plants.
