Our client is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations that support the production and delivery of aerospace components and assemblies. This role ensures supply continuity, drives cost‑reduction initiatives, manages supplier performance, and partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance.

Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00AM–5:15PM
Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement & Sourcing
- Support make‑versus‑buy analysis and supplier consolidation initiatives.
- Conduct RFQs, bid evaluations, supplier assessments, and contract negotiations.
- Build and maintain long‑term supplier relationships to ensure continuity, quality, and competitive pricing.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with production schedules and customer requirements.
- Lead procurement of machined components, electronics, raw materials, tooling, special processes, and outsourced manufacturing services.
Supplier Management & Performance
- Participate in supplier audits and business reviews.
- Track delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost using established KPIs.
- Oversee supplier qualification, onboarding, and ongoing performance measurement.
- Partner with Supplier Quality and Engineering to resolve nonconformances and corrective actions.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to long‑lead materials, capacity constraints, and supply disruptions.
Cost Management & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze spend data and procurement metrics to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Lead cost‑reduction initiatives through negotiation, value engineering, and process optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement projects that strengthen supply chain resilience and operational performance.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop buyers and procurement specialists.
- Foster cross‑functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance.
- Provide procurement updates, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, or equivalent)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
- Experience negotiating complex supplier agreements and managing strategic suppliers.
- 7+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, or advanced manufacturing.
