Program Control / Financial Support Lead

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking incumbent and external qualified candidates to support North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyene Mountain Complex (NCMC) – Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract III (NISSC III).  This position is contingent upon contract award. 

 The Program Control / Financial Support Lead will support financial planning, program controls, budgeting, forecasting, and execution activities for a mission-critical NORAD and USSPACECOM operations and sustainment program. This role partners closely with Program Management, Contracts, Finance, and functional leadership to monitor program performance, develop financial forecasts, analyze cost and schedule performance, and ensure effective execution across a complex operational environment. The ideal candidate possesses experience supporting large DoD programs with strong analytical, financial, and reporting capabilities while helping leadership make informed program execution decisions. 

Responsibilities 

• Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, EACs, and monthly reporting 
• Maintain contract financial records and perform monthly reconciliations 
• Track cost, schedule, funding, and staffing performance; identify trends and risks 
• Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, metrics, and executive reports 
• Support EVM activities and program management reviews 
• Work with CAMs to collect, validate, and consolidate monthly financial data 
• Coordinate with Program Management, Contracts, Finance, Pricing, and functional teams 
• Analyze labor utilization, indirect costs, subcontractor performance, and resource allocation 
• Support contract mods, funding actions, workforce planning, and transition activities 
• Assist with annual operating plans and revenue/financial projections 
• Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation and corrective actions 
• Ensure compliance with contractual, company, and Government financial requirements 
• Support internal/external audits and documentation needs 
• Contribute to reporting, financial performance, and process improvement initiatives 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

• Ability to obtain and maintain required program access, if applicable 
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. Additional four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree  
• Experience supporting program controls, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or business operations on complex DoD programs. 
• Experience supporting Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, Estimates at Complete (EACs), and financial reporting. 
• Experience analyzing program cost, labor, staffing, and schedule performance. 
• Experience working with Program Managers, Contracts, Finance, and Government stakeholders. 
• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive-level reports and briefings. 

Desired Qualifications 

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance desired.  
• Prior experience supporting NISSC I/II, ITW/AA, NORAD, USNORTHCOM, USSPACECOM, or Cheyenne Mountain Complex programs. 
• Experience supporting operations, maintenance, and sustainment (OM&S) programs. 
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Cobra, Microsoft Project, Power BI, or similar program control tools. 
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, Government contracting, and DoD financial management practices. 
• PMP, EVP, CPA, or related business or financial certification. 
• Experience supporting contract transitions and large-scale workforce planning. 
• Experience operating within TS/SCI mission environments. 
• Familiarity with risk management, quality management, and program performance metrics.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
