Overview
Chenega Naswik International, LLC is seeking a professional and customer-focused Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services in support of National Park Service operations in Washington, D.C. This position is responsible for protecting personnel, visitors, facilities, and assets through access control, patrol operations, alarm monitoring, and security screening activities.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine and random patrols of building interiors, exteriors, and surrounding grounds.
- Monitor and control access to facilities through established access control procedures.
- Manage visitor screening and entry/exit activities.
- Monitor personnel access and maintain visitor accountability.
- Monitor security systems, surveillance equipment, and emergency alarm systems.
- Operate X-ray machines, magnetometers, trace detection equipment, and other security screening devices.
- Identify, document, and report security concerns, incidents, and suspicious activities.
- Report deficiencies involving security equipment, locks, doors, cameras, radios, and related systems.
- Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and required documentation.
- Support emergency response activities and security operations as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant security, law enforcement, military, or related experience.
- Possess and maintain a current Washington, D.C. Security Guard License or Virginia Security Guard License.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
- Ability to interpret and apply written rules, procedures, instructions, and training materials.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Ability to successfully pass required background screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal government facilities or contracts.
- Experience operating access control systems and security screening equipment.
- Experience working in public-facing security environments.
- Military, law enforcement, or force protection experience.
- CPR, First Aid, or security-related certifications.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of physical security principles and access control procedures.
- Knowledge of anti-terrorism and force protection concepts.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to identify and respond appropriately to security concerns and incidents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- Ability to operate security equipment, screening devices, and surveillance systems.
- Ability to prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies and stressful situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Estimated Salary/Wage
USD $25.07/Hr.
