Position Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the daily operations of the ultrasound modality and performs diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards. This position works closely with radiologists, physicians, and other imaging modalities and departments to provide accurate, high-quality patient care in Suffolk and Chesapeake.

Position Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the daily operations of the ultrasound modality and performs diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards. This position works closely with radiologists, physicians, and other imaging modalities and departments to provide accurate, high-quality patient care in Suffolk and Chesapeake.
Qualifications
- ARDMS certification in Abdomen is required.
- Previous experience performing breast ultrasound imaging is preferred.
- Experience performing OB/GYN ultrasound studies is required. ARDMS certification in OB/GYN is preferred but not required.
- Experience performing venous ultrasound studies is preferred.
- ARRT certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong computer skills and experience working with PACS are required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong patient service and people skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Ability to communicate and discuss imaging findings appropriately with staff physicians and radiologists.
