We are a team of successful entrepreneurs and doctors using our own capital to improve the veterinary industry. It's our mission to partner with medical and management teams at the practices we acquire or start to provide the best, progressive, leading edge, compassionate care to our staff, patients and clients. Our practices have industry leading medical teams, state of the art equipment, dedicated support staff and loyal customers. They are highly profitable and well positioned for growth with strong support from the ownership team.

This is a full-time salaried position with plenty of growth opportunities. The right individual demonstrating strong aptitude and initiative will have the opportunity to take on increasing ownership of projects over time.

As Operations Manager - Special Projects, you will be responsible for:

  • Project Execution & Coordination:
    • Manage day-to-day execution of operational initiatives, including timelines, task lists, deliverables and follow-ups;
    • Draft, edit and format standard operating procedures, operational playbooks, guidance documents and training materials;
    • Coordinate multi-site rollouts and pilot programs, ensuring hospital and regional teams have what they need to implement successfully;
    • Gather input from Regional Directors, Practice Managers and hospital teams to ensure projects are practical and field-tested;
  • Data, Reporting & Performance Tracking:
    • Build and maintain trackers, dashboards and reporting tools to monitor project adoption and results;
    • Pull, clean and reconcile data from practice management software (PIMS), spreadsheets and other internal systems with a highly critical eye;
    • Prepare structured updates, summaries and presentations for the Director of Special Projects, CEO and senior leadership;
    • Identify discrepancies, trends and risks, and flag them proactively
  • Cross-Functional & field Support
    • Serve as a point of contact for hospital and field teams on active initiatives, responding to inquiries with a concierge mindset;
    • Help facilitate communication and follow-through across departments and the field leadership team;
    • Schedule and prepare materials for project meetings, capture notes and track action items to completion.
  • Ad Hoc & Confidential Projects:
    • Support high-priority or sensitive initiatives as assigned, including internal assessments, audits and process reviews;
    • Handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment;
    • Jump in wherever needed - this role will evolve with the needs of the business.

In order to attract the right leader to join our team, we are offering the following benefits:

  • Highly competitive salary ($70k to $90k based on experience)
  • Health insurance

Successful candidates will have:

  • A strong background in veterinary operations and leadership, including PIMS
  • A diverse skillset spanning project coordination, writing and data analysis
  • Unmatched attention to detail - you catch the typo, the formula error and the number that doesn't add up
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, plus strong command of Word/Google Docs and PowerPoint/Google Slides
  • Clear, polished written and verbal communication skills
