Duties
This Staff Assistant position is located in the Legislative Affairs Office, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to: Manages congressional correspondence and administrative records, including filing, maintenance, archiving, and retrieval through systems such as Salesforce, Excel, GovTA, SharePoint, and PowerApps. Coordinates correspondence and tasks to ensure appropriate routing, review, approval, and timely processing in accordance with TSA policy and management directives. Provides administrative support for all program management functions including payroll, travel, metric development, report development and training. Also assist in coordinating all congressional engagements. Prepares and reviews responses to congressional inquiries and manages associated legal and administrative records in accordance with established procedures. The major duties described reflect the full performance level of this position. Typically, the lower pay band F performs the same duties but will receive more guidance and training; and/or projects/work assignments may be less complex.
Requirements
You must possess U.S. Citizenship or be a U.S. National. You must have reached the minimum age (18) at the time of application. You must complete a favorable Background Investigation (BI). Selective Service registration is required. You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance level.
