NVIDIA is seeking a Sr. Engineering Lab Technician to support global HW lab infrastructure for silicon validation. The hardware's complexity develops exciting challenges. Therefore, someone with a solid understanding and innovative thinking is required to support critical breakthroughs. As part of the Silicon Solutions Team, we are responsible for productizing NVIDIA's chips into groundbreaking consumer, professional, server, mobile, and automotive solutions!

What Will You Be Doing:

  • Conduct daily routine lab walk-throughs to identify any issues or concerns that need to be addressed and to maintain a safe working environment in our labs.

  • Work closely with Environment, Health, and Safety to track all incoming and outgoing chemicals used in all labs. Document all chemical usage and storage accurately and promptly.

  • Participate in maintaining a clean, organized laboratory environment while adhering to safety regulations and protocols. Ensure all laboratory procedures comply with protocols and standards. Provide critical lab support in collaboration with infrastructure, facilities, CBRE, EHS, and other groups.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Monitor and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including air compressors, water pumps, water chillers, power distribution units, and network issues.

  • Record and analyze data, interpret results, and provide concise written reports. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments as needed.

  • Familiar with hand tools and power tools to build simple structures, racks, carts, benches, and any other things that relate to the lab environment.

  • Work closely with the HW farm team to coordinate setups, configure, and maintain lab machines, including GPUs, CPUs, and SoCs. Set up and operate lab equipment such as scopes, thermal solutions, debugger systems, and data acquisition systems as needed for testing and debugging.

What We Need to See:

  • 5+ years of relevant proven experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in technical fields like Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Excellent experience in tracking and maintaining chemical inventory. (e.g., biology, chemistry, or related field).

  • Excellent coordination and communication abilities for effectively conveying technical information and collaborating with the team. Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong background in general mechanical engineering. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Experience with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers), hand tools, and power tools.

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols accurately. Proficient in using computer applications for data entry and analysis.

  • Prior experience in managing hardware, lab setups, and software issues in the lab. Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.

  • In-depth knowledge of various motherboard platforms, SoCs, PC HW such as graphics cards, memory, and storage!

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 60,000 USD - 101,200 USD for Level 3, and 72,000 USD - 120,750 USD for Level 4.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
