Brand Marketing Strategist (Mid-Level) | Remote

Headquarters: Remote URL: https://www.toptal.com/ About the Role We're looking for a Brand Marketing Strategist to execute brand positioning, content, and go-to-market initiatives for clients across industries — from brand consistency audits to hands-on creative production and channel-specific campaigns. This is a hands-on execution role: you'll take strategic direction and turn it into real deliverables, whether that's a brand audit and roadmap, multi-channel creative assets, or a growth-focused campaign. Scope and format flex by engagement, from short single-deliverable sprints to ongoing embedded work. What You'll Do Audit existing brand assets and presence, identifying inconsistencies and proposing a brand consistency roadmap Develop brand messaging, positioning, and visual guidelines aligned with client strategy Produce multi-channel creative content — social, email, print, or digital — depending on client need Support go-to-market execution for new products, markets, or campaigns Execute channel-specific campaigns (e.g., LinkedIn, paid social) when scope calls for it Collaborate with client stakeholders to translate brand strategy into tangible marketing assets Maintain brand consistency across touchpoints throughout the engagement What You Bring Solid experience in brand marketing, brand strategy, or brand-focused creative production Portfolio of relevant brand-building work, agency or in-house Design tool fluency (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) for hands-on creative roles, or paid media platform experience (Meta, Google Ads) for growth-oriented roles Strong written and visual communication skills Ability to work independently against a defined scope and deliver on tight timelines Comfort adapting to different client industries and brand voices Nice to Have Industry-specific experience matching the client vertical (industrial/B2B, consumer hardware, financial services, media/personal branding) International market experience for clients operating outside the US Experience with single-deliverable engagements (e.g., profile or channel-specific brand refreshes) Why This Role Varied scope: Work spans quick single-deliverable tasks to longer embedded creative production engagements Real ownership: Take brand direction and turn it into finished, client-ready work Cross-industry exposure: Work with clients across industrial, consumer, financial services, and media sectors Flexible engagement structure: Hourly or full-time depending on the project How to Apply Ready to bring brand strategy to life across channels and industries?
