ResponsibilitiesÂ
Â
- Serve as Portfolio Manager to build and manage client portfolios for OCIO’s Pension clientsÂ
- The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for client portfolios’ asset allocation and manager selection as well as risk management and monitoringÂ
- Develop liability-driven investing and total-return strategiesÂ
- Coordinate with clients to secure relevant actuarial information to complete asset-liability and related studies and integrate results into investment strategies and asset allocationÂ
- Engage with clients to perform client discovery, draft investment policy statements, provide quarterly reporting, etc.Â
- Ensure the smooth functioning of administrative and operational activities, including those involving outside custodians and trading, reporting, and client cash flowsÂ
- Partner with Financial Advisors and consultants to win new clients and raise new assetsÂ
- Along with other subject matter experts, create institutional content such as white papers for advisors to use with clients and prospects to engage on topics related to the areas of expertiseÂ
QualificationsÂ
- 5+ years’ experience servicing pensions, corporations and other institutional accounts in a wealth management or investment consulting capacity Â
- Experience and knowledge in investment/wealth management platforms and vehicles, including managed account platforms, mutual funds, ETFs, separate accounts, and alternative investmentsÂ
- Experience and knowledge in global capital markets, technical expertise across asset classes Â
- Firm understanding of portfolio management concepts including modern portfolio theory, asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, risk management and performance attributionÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and WordÂ
- Strong organizational and project management skillsÂ
- Must be very detail-oriented, with an ability to multi-task and handle multiple prioritiesÂ
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skillsÂ
- Proactive & hard working with strong professional accountabilityÂ
- Undergraduate degree is requiredÂ
- Graduate degree, CFA, CAIA and other professional designations are preferredÂ
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses required or willingness to obtain within 180 days of hire (additional licensing may be required)Â

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 115,000 and 205,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
