Trumbull-Brayman Joint Venture is seeking an experienced Union Labor Foreman to join our team on the Montgomery Lock & Dam Project in Monaca, Pennsylvania, a major U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) infrastructure project with an estimated 8-year duration.

This is a long-term, full-time leadership opportunity on a large-scale heavy civil project involving structural concrete, dam and lock rehabilitation, and complex infrastructure construction. The Labor Foreman will supervise construction labor crews and coordinate daily field operations while supporting multiple trades across a wide range of construction activities.

This position offers stable, long-term work on a high-profile federal infrastructure project.


SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday - approximately 40 hours per week, with overtime available based on project demands and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

This is a union position, and the successful candidate will become a member of the applicable Labors Union Local.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Labor Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating field crews performing heavy civil construction activities while maintaining safe, productive, and organized operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising labor crews supporting heavy civil construction operations
  • Planning and assigning daily work tasks to meet project schedule requirements
  • Coordinating manpower, materials, and equipment with project supervision
  • Supporting skilled trades including carpenters, operators, and ironworkers
  • Directing material handling, staging, and jobsite logistics
  • Assisting with site preparation, cleanup, and general construction operations
  • Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with company and USACE safety standards
  • Maintaining organized and safe work areas throughout the project
  • Communicating with superintendents, engineers, and other field personnel
  • Monitoring crew productivity and maintaining efficient jobsite operations

The Foreman is expected to serve as a hands-on field leader, capable of working alongside the crew while directing daily activities.


QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

  • 3-5 years of construction Foreman experience, preferably in heavy civil construction
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and small construction equipment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions while directing crew members
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple trades and personalities
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic for material counts and inventory
  • Commitment to maintaining safe work practices
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Recent and verifiable construction work history required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed outdoors on an active heavy civil construction site. Duties involve physical labor including lifting, climbing, bending, and working around heavy equipment and structural concrete operations.


SAFETY

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
