This leader will work closely with the CEO, executive leadership team, and firm leaders to help advance the firm’s strategy, support sustainable growth, and strengthen the business for the future. The role calls for a CFO who can balance near-term performance with long-term value creation while helping shape the firm’s direction across organic growth, geographic expansion, operational transformation, and M&A.
The firm is a scaled, market-leading professional services organization with broad capabilities across assurance, tax, consulting, transaction advisory, and related services. Operating on a global platform, the business is focused on expanding its international capabilities, strengthening cross-border collaboration, and evaluating strategic alternatives that may include new capital formation, a public offering, and acquisitions. In this context, the CFO will play a critical role in strengthening the finance function, supporting growth, and helping position the firm for its next phase of development.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, executive leadership team, and firm leaders, helping define and execute the firm’s growth strategy across markets, capabilities, and geographies.
- Lead the global finance organization, with accountability for controllership, planning and analysis, treasury, tax, audit, investor readiness, and broader financial operations.
- Strengthen financial discipline and public-company readiness, including controls, reporting processes, governance, forecasting rigor, and stakeholder communications appropriate for future capital-markets activity.
- Drive enterprise-wide finance transformation, including simplification, standardization, shared services or centers of excellence where appropriate, and the use of technology to improve insight, efficiency, and decision support.
- Partner with firm leaders and regional finance teams to improve performance management, resource allocation, and business decision-making across a complex global organization.
- Lead strategic finance activities including capital structure planning, capital allocation, liquidity management, and financing decisions in a way that supports both growth and resilience.
- Play a central role in evaluating, executing, and integrating acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions.
- Help prepare the company for a range of strategic alternatives, including private capital activity, IPO readiness, and broader market-facing financial leadership.
- Build and develop a strong global finance leadership bench, fostering high standards, accountability, collaboration, and succession strength across regions.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience as a public-company or large-scale enterprise CFO, or in a similarly broad and complex senior finance leadership role.
- Strong record of helping organizations scale through growth, transformation, and strategic change.
- Experience working across global markets and partnering effectively with regional or country finance leaders in a matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated success in capital markets, treasury, balance sheet management, and investor-facing environments.
- Meaningful M&A experience, including transaction execution, financing, integration, and value capture.
- Track record of improving financial and operational performance through modernization, disciplined execution, and strong leadership.
- Experience with IPO preparation or other forms of public-company readiness is highly desirable.
- Experience in complex professional services, partnership-influenced, or multi-stakeholder business models is a plus.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to lead calmly and decisively under pressure.
Leadership Attributes
The ideal candidate is a respected finance leader who combines strategic range with operational depth. They should be able to engage credibly with boards, investors, and business leaders, while also building strong teams and driving practical execution. This person will bring a growth mindset, a global perspective, and the ability to translate financial rigor into business momentum.
