Summary
Join the Indian Health Service as a Program Assistant in the Division of Nursing Services located in Kayenta, Arizona. In this role, you'll provide essential administrative and organizational support to keep daily operations running smoothly, ensure efficient office functions, and help advance the Service Unit's mission by supporting staff and organizational effectiveness. Duties
Correspondence Management - Receives, reviews, tracks and distributes incoming and outgoing correspondence; drafts and edits letters, reports, and memoranda; and ensures all documents are accurate, complete and in proper format. Data Collection and Tracking Information - Prepares reports, spreadsheets, and presentations; compiles and tracks program data; and maintains automated systems to monitor projects, budgets and organizational activities. Conducts Office Business - Processes supply and equipment orders, tracks expenditures, ensures timely payments, and provides guidance to staff on office procedures, policies, and administrative requirements. Coordinates Calendars and Meetings - Schedules of appointments, meetings, and conference for leadership and staff; manages conference room reservation; and provides background materials to support meeting objectives. Serves as Organizational Point of Contact - Responds to inquiries from staff, external agencies, and the public; provides information, resolves routine issues, and facilitates communication within the organization.
