Radiology Student Tech Aide - Per Diem

Assist in all portions of patient care, including operating stationary and portable x ray equipment while being supervised by a licensed technologist.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepares room for x ray examinations.
• Transport patients from the emergency room to X-ray room and assist technologist moving patients.
• Student will be able to learn how to use EPIC/Meditech and complete paperwork.
• Works as part of a team to maintain high standards in radiology.

Other Duties:

• Performs routine duties such as stocking and cleaning rooms.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Must have ability to react quickly to emergency situations such as patient fainting, patient being unsteady while standing for procedures.
• Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, safely transfer patients and ambulate without assistance.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Required: Current enrollment in Radiologic Technology School and Degree Program
• Minimum of one year radiologic technology school ‐ preferred.

Location and Travel Requirements:

• Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center: 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850
• Shift: Per Diem, Various As Scheduled. Minimum 2-4 shifts per month. Hours may vary during Radiology Department Operational Hours at Cayuga Medical Center. Student Tech Aides work may work a variety of shifts that can be flexible withing the day and evening shifts of the X-ray department during the 7a-9p hours of operation. 4, 6 or 8 hour shifts are acceptable, but alternative shifts may be scheduled. Based at Cayuga Medical Center (Main Campus), however not limited from off site location coverage if requested.

Pay Range Disclosure:

• Standard Rate of $21.00 to 22.23 per hour
