Senior Mid-Corporate Portfolio Manager

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager as part of the Specialized Industry - Commodity Finance group in the Commercial Bank. The client portfolio is primarily comprised of commodity traders and marketers in the Energy/Ag/Metals space throughout the United States. This is a junior underwriting role supporting credit portfolio management to meet the long-term financial objectives and risk tolerance for commercial banking clients. In this role, you will:

• Lead or participate in moderately complex Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management initiatives
• Act as participant in large-scale planning for Mid Corporate Portfolio Management functional area
• Review and analyze moderately complex multi-faceted, large scale, and long-term business, operational, or technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors
• Independently resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with Mid Corporate Portfolio Management peers, colleagues, and middle level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• Participate in Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management projects and may lead teams
• Serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications, US:

• 4+ years of Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• 2+ years of credit underwriting experience
• Proven advanced analytical skills in performing in depth financial statement review
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including using Excel for financial analysis and projection modeling
• Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills while working in a high paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business 
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with experience effectively working and communicating with partners both in person and remotely

Job Expectations:

• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
