Summary
This position is part of the Western Power Administration (WAPA). As a Facility Operations Specialist, with responsibilities in the areas of Facilities and Operations Management, Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP), Performance Work Statement (PWS) development and Contract Officer Representative (COR) duties and analysis work in all areas of Facilities Maintenance.
Duties
As a Facility Operations Specialist, you will: Develops annual and long-term comprehensive program of facility maintenance and repair for assigned facilities, which includes assets life cycle replacement. Modifies plans as required to respond to changing and unpredictable demands for services and the need for unscheduled maintenance due to worn and overtaxed facilities. As a Facilities Subject Matter Expert (SME) develops reports and plans as needed regarding Facilities for Senior Management personnel. Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for facility and maintenance contract, all minor construction, repair projects, and housekeeping functions. Helps to determine the total budgetary requirements to support the assigned facilities operations, maintenance, repair plans, training and TDY requirements. Writes or reviews specifications for the maintenance or repair of facilities to include the description of materials and work methods to be followed.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. This employer participates in the e-Verify program. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service. You may be required to complete a financial disclosure (OGE-450). The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain the required DOE/WAPA certification to serve as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) or Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR). The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain the required DOE/WAPA training/certification as necessary in order to serve as a Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder. This position requires the ability to operate a government vehicle. The incumbent must be at least 18 years of age, able to obtain and maintain Defensive Drivers certification and have a valid state driver's license. Defensive Driver's Training will be completed upon employment. The incumbent is required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The incumbent must wear Arc Rated protective clothing when in proximity to exposed energized circuits. This position is designated as Emergency Essential. Security clearance and associated requirements- Moderate Risk. Overtime may be required. Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Total salary varies depending on location of position.
