About this role:


Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant to lead complex branch distribution strategy initiatives. This role requires strong problem-solving, business judgment, analytical, and executive presentation skills.


The individual will own strategic workstreams, evaluate business performance, market opportunities, customer needs, risks, and operational considerations, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations. This role will advise business leaders on retail and branch distribution strategy by evaluating opportunities and tradeoffs and creating decision-ready presentations.


The successful candidate will independently structure ambiguous business questions, guide cross-functional work, manage multiple priorities, and partner with Strategy, Finance, Analytics, Data Science, Operations, Risk, Technology, and other teams to deliver high-quality recommendations under tight deadlines.


In this role, you will:


  • Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
  • Develop executive-ready presentations and recommendations that clearly communicate key insights, implications, and required actions.
  • Structure ambiguous business questions into clear analyses, decision frameworks, and strategic recommendations.
  • Conduct data-driven analysis to identify insights, risks, tradeoffs, and business opportunities.
  • Lead working sessions and stakeholder discussions to drive alignment, decision-making, and execution of strategic initiatives.


Required Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education



Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience supporting strategy, analytics, or business execution within a large retail branch network.
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations that communicate complex information, key insights, and recommended actions.
  • Experience advising senior business leaders on retail strategy, using data and analytical insights to evaluate opportunities, tradeoffs, and recommended actions.
  • Experience in financial services, retail banking, branch distribution, network strategy, or a consulting environment
  • Exceptional PowerPoint skills with the ability to independently create polished, decision-ready executive presentations.
  • Strong executive storytelling, business writing, and visual communication skills.
  • Experience in strategy development, business planning, management consulting, corporate strategy, or executive reporting.
  • Experience advising business leaders on retail or branch distribution strategy using quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous business problems, develop hypotheses, identify decision points, and formulate practical recommendations.
  • Experience synthesizing complex information into clear insights, business implications, tradeoffs, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Proficiency with Excel and experience conducting business analysis, developing business cases, and creating charts or visualizations.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating across a matrixed organization with Strategy, Finance, Analytics, Data Science, Operations, Risk, and Technology partners.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and adjust the level of detail for different audiences.
  • High attention to detail and strong quality-control discipline across presentations, analyses, and executive materials.

Job Expectations:


  • Able to work in a Hybrid Schedule (Onsite 3 days per week)
  • Able to travel up to 5% travel
