CLO Client Management Team Lead
Job Description
Responsible for the leadership and overall management of a Trust unit or units within the organization to meet unit and divisional objectives. In addition to managing operations, processes, and compliance issues, incumbent manages a group or groups with sales accountabilities and an external focus.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Instrumental in the profitability and growth of CLO organization by maintain service levels on current clientele via Client Oriented Relationship Excellence (C.O.R.E.)
- Serve as an expert resource for complex problem solving related to CLO administration and client escalation issues. Deep knowledge of the CLO industry and trustee business, U.S. Bank processes and systems. (SWP, CTAO, CDOs, Arcaria)
- Manage a Client Management team by driving increased business and revenue, controlling costs, and reducing expenses.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to pursue objectives of unit(s) including process standardization and efficiencies. Manages team to maintain compliance with key performance metrics.
- Manage direct and in direct reports by portfolio/deal load balancing, staffing, hiring, training. Actively managing portfolio pipeline via Salesforce.
- Actively ensures compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures.
- Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas. Follows account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position.
- Actively works with customers to understand each customer's normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.
Accountabilities:
- Decisions are made in conjunction with major corporation programs, plans or strategies. Independent action is normally required although other division or senior managers are usually consulted before final action is taken.
- Probable errors would have a material effect on major functions of the corporation.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of CLO experience
- 3+ years of management experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in trust administration, fixed income investments, or broadly syndicated loans
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
- Excellent problem-solving, conflict management, and negotiation skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet established deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of relationship management, account management, corporate trust operations, and legal regulations
- In-depth knowledge of structured finance transaction documentation, including but not limited to Indentures, credit agreements, and custodial agreements
- Well-developed leadership abilities and strategic management skills
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Considerable tact, diplomacy, and people skills.
Location Expectations
- This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $152,370.00 - 186,230.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
