Duties
Ensures that all collected data meets quality requirements before turn-in. Responsible for making sure all project information is set up prior to field work. Adapts to changing conditions and goals, ability to adapt as the requirements on any given day can be subject to changes. Collects hydrographic data with field surveys using state of the art equipment and gear utilizing hydrographic and Global Positioning System (GPS) knowledge. Leads a crew in the field for work with minimal supervision often in remote locations. In charge of a vessels and all associated crews for the period of work.

This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
