Overview
We are seeking a highly professional Armed Security Guard II to join our team in support of a critical government security mission. This position plays an essential role in safeguarding personnel, facilities, information, and assets while ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and the public.

As an Armed Security Guard II, you will serve as a visible security presence, enforce access control procedures, conduct patrols, respond to emergencies, and support overall site security operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, physically capable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and customer service.

Note: The hourly compensation for this position is $24.40.
Responsibilities
- Protect government personnel, facilities, equipment, and property from theft, damage, unauthorized access, and other security threats.
- Maintain a visible security presence through foot and vehicle patrols of assigned areas.
- Monitor facilities and surrounding areas for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security violations.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and requests for assistance in accordance with established procedures.
- Observe, document, and report incidents, unusual activity, and security concerns to supervisory personnel.
- Control access to government facilities by verifying credentials, badges, and authorization documentation.
- Process visitors, contractors, and vendors in accordance with established security procedures.
- Conduct personnel, vehicle, package, parcel, and facility inspections when required.
- Support internal and perimeter security operations while maintaining a professional customer-focused approach.
- Provide visitor assistance, directions, and escorts when appropriate.
- Respond to security incidents, emergencies, medical situations, and unusual events as directed by post orders and site procedures.
- Take appropriate action during incidents to protect life, property, and critical assets.
- Utilize sound judgment when assessing potential threats and security concerns.
- Support emergency evacuation procedures and incident response activities.
- Carry and maintain issued firearms and security equipment in accordance with company policies, training standards, and applicable regulations.
- Demonstrate proficiency with assigned weapons and successfully complete all required qualifications.
- Exercise the use of force only in accordance with applicable laws, contract requirements, training, and established policies.
- Maintain accountability and proper care of all assigned weapons, ammunition, and security equipment.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to interpret policies, procedures, post orders, and training materials.
- Graduate of a Federal, State, Local, Military, or recognized law enforcement, security, or physical security training academy.
- Ability to successfully complete all required firearms qualifications and maintain weapons proficiency.
- Successfully pass background and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, protective services, or armed security experience.
- Experience supporting federal, government, critical infrastructure, healthcare, or high-security environments.
- Familiarity with physical security systems, access control systems, alarm systems, and incident response procedures.
