Position Summary... What you'll do... We are seeking a talented and passionate Staff, Software Engineer to join our International Inventory Management team. The ideal candidate will have experience as a tech lead and strong development background in Micro Service Architectures using backend technologies like Java, Spring Boot, Kafka technologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality scalable software applications. About Team: Focusing on customer, associate and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Mexico and South Africa to name a few. What You'll Do: Lead and direct in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions. Direct root cause analysis of critical business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); directing actions as designated in the plan. Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open-Door Policy. What You'll Bring: 10+ years of working experience in Java/J2EE 3+ years of experience with Kafka or other high volume-low latency messaging infrastructure 3+ years of working experience in NoSQL DB 7+ years of system design and implementation experience of global systems Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and be able to articulate complex technical concepts in an approachable way for broad audiences. Solid experience in large scale distributed systems and event-driven architecture. Cloud certification i.e. Azure, GCP GraphQL Experience. Have designed, built, and maintained APIs, services, and systems on cloud at large scale. Strong understanding of quality, testing principles, and writing effective test cases. Experience using any of the automation toolsets like Appium, Selenium, Jira, TestNG Framework, Cucumber, Postman, JMeter, Rest Assured, Gatling, etc. Experience with Azure Cloud Stack or other cloud stacks. Knowledge of open-source libraries, design patterns and micro-service architecture. Familiarity with CI/CD and unit testing Knowledge of Kubernetes and other CNCF tools. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
