We are looking for a software engineering manager for our Windows display driver team. NVIDIA GPUs render breathtaking images, but that wouldn’t matter if no one could see them!
The team is responsible for the getting those images onto a wide range of screens, from gaming monitors to laptop displays, to TVs and medical displays, serving both consumer and professional markets. We encompass a wide variety of standards and technologies, such as DP, HDMI, HDR, virtual reality and variable refresh rate, all while ensuring interoperability with the OS and a multitude of display manufacturers. You will be responsible for leading a team of hardworking engineers dedicated to this mission.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead a team of 5-10 system software engineers to drive new feature development and general support for GPU device drivers.
Balance priorities among end-user, partner, OS, and chip bring-up requirements.
Develop ambitious but realistic engineering plans aligned with those priorities. You and your team will be accountable for plan development and execution.
Contribute to our evolving process in the design, development, and implementation of high-quality, robust kernel mode device drivers.
Coach the engineers in the team to increase their technical and leadership skill and help them identify and achieve career goals.
Collaborate with teams across software, hardware, QA, marketing, and release planning to solve problems, release quality products, and influence GPU and SOC direction.
What we need to see:
BSEE/CS or equivalent experience.
6+ years of experience in developing system software or equivalent, 2+ years managing software developers.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Consistent record of leading software projects with interrelated dependencies in a dynamic development environment.
Low-level operating system knowledge, familiarity with development on prototype hardware, experience in memory/resource management in real-time systems.

Familiarity with one or more of the following knowledge domains will further improve your fit for the position:
Display subsystems, standards (e.g. HDMI, DP, USB-C), and technologies (e.g. colorimetry, HDR, VRR, video processing).
Windows device driver development and the Windows display pipeline.
Chip verification and bring-up.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 3, and 272,000 USD - 431,250 USD for Level 4.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
