Position Overview: We're seeking a Senior IAM Manager to own identity and access management across the full breadth of HealthEdge's business — corporate identities, non-human identities, infrastructure-as-code-driven provisioning, and customer identity and access management (CIAM) — with ownership of multiple IDP instances across the organization. This is a leadership role with 5–7 direct reports within a broader IAM organization of 10–15, and the successful candidate will step in immediately to lead, support, or stand up several high-priority initiatives already underway for a global team including resources based offshore.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to develop and communicate a strategic vision for our IAM program. Alignment of security initiatives with business goals is a critical key to our success.
- Own the strategy and day-to-day operations of IAM across the organization. This includes zero trust architecture, privileged access management (PAM), identity governance, SSO/MFA, and role-based access controls across our enterprise and cloud environments for a global team, including resources based offshore.
- Establish strategy while also performing hands-on design of our Identity and Access Management program. This includes zero trust architecture, privileged access management (PAM), identity governance, SSO/MFA, and role-based access controls across our enterprise and cloud environments.
- Own and govern multiple Identity Provider (IDP) instances (e.g., Okta, Entra ID, Ping Identity), including integration, consolidation, and lifecycle management
- Direct the use of Infrastructure as Code implementation and administration of Just-In-Time (JIT) access management tools in a cloud environment, with a strong understanding of least-privilege access principles and standing-access risk reduction
- Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5–7 direct reports within a broader IAM organization of 10–15
- Partner with engineering, security architecture, compliance, and business stakeholders to align IAM strategy with organizational priorities
- Own IAM-related audit and compliance evidence, ensuring HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, and other regulatory requirements are continually met with no gaps
- Report on IAM program health, risk, and progress to security leadership, GRC committees, and executive stakeholders
Immediate Priorities:
The following areas are top priority and the Senior IAM Manager will be expected to step in immediately to lead, support, or stand up:
- Establish clear ownership of cloud identities and prioritize requests based on business priority including corporate identities, non-human identities (service accounts, workload identities, machine credentials), and customer identities (CIAM) for a global business including resources offshore
- Plan, coordinate, and execute IAM integration efforts as part of a merger of disparate systems
- Automate manual business processes for user access reviews, onboarding, offboarding, and role transfers
- Plan, coordinate, and execute IAM aspects of the deployment of a new HRIS system
- Ensure all compliance requirements are continually met with no gaps
What you bring:
Required
- 8+ years of experience in identity and access management, with progressive leadership responsibility
- Proven people-management experience, ideally leading a team of 5 or more within an IAM or broader security organization
- Deep knowledge across the full IAM lifecycle, spanning corporate identity, non-human/machine identity, and customer identity and access management (CIAM)
- Experience owning and administering multiple IDP instances (e.g., Okta, Entra ID, Ping Identity), including consolidation efforts
- Experience with modern cloud JIT approaches to identity and access provisioning
- Experience leading IAM workstreams through a merger, acquisition, or other major organizational change
- Demonstrated success automating manual identity processes such as access reviews, onboarding/offboarding, and role transfers
- Strong understanding of compliance and audit requirements in a regulated environment (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2)
- Experience partnering with HR and IT on enterprise system deployments (e.g., HRIS) from an identity perspective
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical IAM concepts for executive and business audiences
- Experience in healthcare or another highly regulated industry (HIPAA/HITRUST-aware)
Required
- 10+ years of experience in identity and access management, including 5+ years in a leadership role managing IAM programs, teams, or workstreams at an enterprise scale
- Proven track record owning IAM strategy and operations end-to-end — not just contributing to or executing against a roadmap set by others — including full accountability for audit outcomes and regulatory posture
- Deep, hands-on expertise across the full identity lifecycle spanning multiple domains: corporate/workforce identity, non-human/machine identity (service accounts, workload identities, secrets), cloud identities, and customer identity and access management (CIAM)
- Experience owning and consolidating multiple IDP instances (e.g., Okta, Entra ID, Ping Identity) at the architecture and governance level, including migration/consolidation strategy — not just administering or driving adoption of a platform
- Demonstrated experience designing and directing Infrastructure-as-Code-driven provisioning and Just-In-Time (JIT) / standing-access-risk reduction models in cloud environments
- Direct experience leading IAM through a merger, acquisition, or major org restructuring — including system consolidation, identity reconciliation, and stakeholder alignment across previously separate organizations
- Track record building and scaling an IAM organization, including hiring, structuring, and developing a team of 5+ direct reports within a broader 10–15+ person org
- Executive-level accountability: experience reporting IAM program health, risk, and audit posture directly to executive leadership and GRC/board-level committees, not just partnering with compliance functions
- Industry certifications required or strongly preferred at a level commensurate with seniority: CISSP required; CISM, CISA, or CCISO preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent experience; advanced degree (MS or MBA) a plus
- Experience in healthcare or another highly regulated industry (HIPAA/HITRUST-aware), with direct ownership of compliance evidence in a regulated environment
Preferred
- Experience standing up an IAM function or IDP consolidation from a fragmented or M&A-driven starting state
- Familiarity with zero trust architecture frameworks and their practical rollout in a hybrid enterprise/cloud environment
- Prior experience managing globally distributed teams, including offshore resources
