This is a Principal Technical Program Management position at the Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for overseeing and leading the execution of multiple projects and/or programs, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives. Includes program management and related project support roles.

The Applied AI Program Manager will be a key member of the Applied AI Enablement team, responsible for driving strategic AI initiatives across Technology. This role blends technical program management with business enablement, supporting GenAI use case delivery, governance navigation, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have experience in enterprise-scale programs and technology with a passion for innovation and stakeholder engagement.

What you’ll do in the role:

Program Leadership & Delivery

  • Provide transparent, executive-ready communications on program health, adoption progress, and measurable business outcomes to senior leadership

  • Establish and oversee program structure, use case onboarding, and program reporting

  • Partner with business units and technology teams to identify, evaluate and prioritize GenAI use cases based on business value, technical feasibility and risk considerations

  • Define delivery plans, timelines, and milestones, track progress and dependencies manage program artifacts including backlog, roadmaps, and dashboards

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery teams and business enablement leads

  • Build and nurture internal communities of practice, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

  • Develop and maintain program reporting, KPIs, and dashboards for leadership readouts

  • Communicate program strategy, risks, and progress to senior stakeholders

Risk & Process Management

  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies with clear communication plan

  • Apply Agile and waterfall methodologies to optimize delivery

  • Navigate use cases through governance and compliance gates

  • Drive process improvements and remove roadblocks across teams 

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 10+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Proven track record in leading agile teams and delivering enterprise solutions.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in Jira workflow management and dashboard reporting

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $155,000 and $215,000 per year at the commencement of employment.  However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
