Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced transformation leader to establish and lead a newly created AI & Process Transformation function within Information Security Services (ISS).

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), this highly visible leader will partner with senior technology and business executives to modernize how ISS operates through process redesign, automation, and responsible AI adoption. Leading a small, high-impact team, the role is responsible for identifying opportunities, building support, and delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, scalability, and organizational effectiveness.

This is a transformation leadership role, not a cybersecurity practitioner position. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in enterprise transformation, operating model design, process optimization, automation, and change leadership within large, complex, and regulated organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead the ISS AI & Process Transformation function, including strategy, governance, and execution.

  • Partner with leaders across ISS to identify, prioritize, and deliver process modernization and automation initiatives.

  • Drive transformation efforts from diagnostic assessment through implementation and benefits realization.

  • Redesign operating models, simplify processes, optimize workflows, and improve organizational productivity.

  • Collaborate with enterprise AI, technology, risk, and governance partners to advance approved AI and automation use cases.

  • Develop business cases, transformation roadmaps, and executive reporting that demonstrate measurable outcomes.

  • Lead change adoption efforts, building alignment and engagement across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Influence senior leaders and teams across a highly matrixed organization to accelerate delivery and sustain results.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 12+ years of experience leading enterprise transformation, operational excellence, process improvement, consulting, or technology modernization initiatives.

  • Proven success delivering measurable business outcomes, including productivity gains, cost reduction, process simplification, and capacity optimization.

  • Deep expertise in operating model design, business process management, organizational change, and continuous improvement.

  • Experience applying AI, automation, workflow technologies, or emerging technologies to improve business operations.

  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proven success leading through ambiguity and driving large-scale change in complex organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.

  • Background in management consulting, enterprise transformation, digital modernization, or operational excellence leadership.

  • Experience developing and scaling enterprise AI and automation programs.

  • Lean Six Sigma, Change Management, Agile, Business Process Management, or related certifications.

  • Advanced degree in business, technology, engineering, or a related field.
