Job Description
Focuses on technological solution delivery by guiding and inspiring strong coding practices and solid software design decisions among their team. Responsible for growing and mentoring engineers as it relates to technical skills and career development. Assists with cross-team strategic efforts, influencing decisions to achieve efficient delivery of business value. Understands cross-team technical roadmaps, advocating new product abilities based on technical strategy and constraints.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Six to eight years of relevant technical experience
- Five or more years of leading a software engineering team
Experience Should Include
- 2+ years of people management experience in software engineering
- 10+ previous years of software engineering experience in C# / ASP.NET
- 5 previous years of API experience
- 2+ years of recent financial industry experience
- Strong DevOps understanding
- Some Azure and Copilot experience
Preferred Experience
- Lead and manage a high-performing engineering team of full-time employees and contractors across onshore and offshore locations, providing coaching, mentorship, and career development.
- Own engineering delivery and budget management, including oversight of workforce planning, contractor management, and capital expenditures exceeding $2M annually.
- Drive the design, architecture, and development of new features and capabilities for the Global Corporate Trust and Custody (CLO) platform, aligning technology investments with business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional engineering initiatives to improve application performance, reliability, scalability, resiliency, and capacity across complex enterprise systems.
- Modernize application and infrastructure portfolios by building cloud-native solutions and migrating existing platforms to Microsoft Azure using modern engineering and DevOps practices.
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Design, Operations, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and customer-focused technology solutions using Agile methodologies.
- Oversee enterprise integrations and API strategy, enabling automation and optimization of critical business processes including loan notices, wires, trades, payments, analytics, and reporting.
- Establish engineering best practices across software development, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and AI-assisted development tools while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business strategy.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
