About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer – Fixed Income Analytics to join the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) team. In this role, you will help design, build, and deliver innovative technology solutions that with stakeholders (Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Analysts, Enterprise Technology teams, Investment Portfolio Technology teams, product owners and architects) to deliver technology solutions that produce analytics on securities portfolio.
Working on complex and large-scale initiatives, you will play a key role in driving engineering excellence, advancing modern technology capabilities, and enabling growth across a diverse portfolio of banking, lending, investment banking, and markets services. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while partnering with teams across the organization to solve complex challenges and deliver value to clients globally.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
- Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and manage to mitigate risk
- Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
- Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
- Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
- Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Mentor less experienced software engineers
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience with fixed income analytics
- 5+ years of experience with Java/C#/JavaScript
- 3+ years of experience with Mortgage-backed Securities (or equivalent)
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms, modern application architecture, and software delivery practices including APIs, microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD
- 5+ years of experience with Software Design Patterns
- 5+ years of experience with managing large (terabytes) analytics data sets (including time series)
- 5+ years of experience with DB (prefer Oracle)
- 3+ years of experience with PolyPaths software
- 3+ years of experience with developing UI/UX (Angular / ReactJS)
- 1+ years of experience with developing solutions using AI / agentic AI
Job Expectations:

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$159,000.00 - $305,000.00
