In this role, you’ll support enterprise‑level data, analytics, and application modernization efforts. This role is central to ensuring that mission‑critical public health systems are stable, intuitive, secure, and fully validated before deployment to CDC stakeholders. The selected engineer will be responsible for building automated test frameworks, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and driving continuous improvement across the entire QA lifecycle. The LCNC QA Tester will work within a fast‑paced, agile environment, partnering closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA professionals to validate functionality, identify defects early, and ensure seamless delivery of high‑quality applications. This role requires expertise in automated testing and the ability to architect scalable test environments using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Docker. The engineer will apply advanced testing techniques— including AI‑enhanced automation— to accelerate validation, expand coverage, and reduce manual testing overhead.

Responsibilities

  • Perform automated and manual testing—including regression, usability and UAT—to ensure full end‑to‑end functionality and high‑quality system performance.  
  • Implement, refine, and troubleshoot reliable test automation and continuous delivery.  
  • Partner closely with developers, analysts, and QA teammates to define test strategies, document and communicate defects, track issue resolution, and continuously improve test coverage, frameworks, and team processes. 
  • Estimate testing efforts, share knowledge, maintain thorough test documentation, and ensure all applications meet established quality, compliance, functional, and performance benchmarks. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience testing Microsoft Dynamics applications 
  • 2+ years implementing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) 
  • Experiencing designing and executing test plans within a web-based data platform 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements   
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening.

Final salary determination based on skill-set, qualifications, and approved funding.
