Summary

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer (OCRSO). The primary purpose of this position is to identify, collect, and analyze data, performing data extracts, conducting analysis, briefing results to stakeholders, and generating reports using visual applications and analytical software tools. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.

Duties

As a IT Data Analyst, GS-2210-12, your typical work assignments may include: Provide enterprise-wide data analysis and reporting support by developing queries, reports, visualizations, graphical data representations, and decision-support products using tools such as OBIEE Virtual Analyzer, ArcGIS/Portal, Tableau, and other platforms. Support data stewardship and data governance activities by assisting with data plans, documenting methods to assess data quality, defining data standards, and helping ensure OCRSO data is reliable, accurate, accessible, secure, timely, and mission-relevant. Coordinate functional and system requirements throughout the systems development lifecycle by translating business processes into system and data requirements, documenting use cases and user stories, supporting requirements generation, and assisting development teams with business requirements. Provide data analysis, systems support, training, and stakeholder coordination by supporting change management activities, developing user training materials, communicating with technical and non-technical audiences, facilitating meetings, and preparing ad hoc or recurring reports. Develop and deliver information briefings and communication products by preparing written and oral reports, briefings, visualizations, and other materials that present data analysis results to OCRSO, MGMT, Component stakeholders, leadership, auditors, Congress, and other audiences. Qualifications and evaluation

All work experience should specify the length of time spent in the position. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated.
