Summary
Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) mission is to lead the Department of Defense (DoD) in finance and accounting by ensuring the delivery of efficient, exceptional quality pay and financial information.
Duties
Developing, guiding, reviewing and enhancing IT project plans and roadmaps for complex, multi-year technology projects. Coordinates and integrates project activities, manages, leads, or administers project resources, and monitors project activities to mitigate risk. Designs or conducts analytical studies, cost-benefit analyses, and coordinates with clients/customers to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables. Establishes test strategy and objectives, provides oversight, and conducts system testing in development and operational environments. Manages efforts to troubleshoot issues, and ensures issues are properly communicated to clients/customers and all levels of DFAS management.

Moving expenses will not be paid. Telework availability is limited and will only be provided on a rare case-by-case basis during situations where Agency Leadership has determined that telework serves a compelling DoD need. Selections are subject to restrictions resulting from the DoD Program for Stability of Civilian Employment.
