Summary
The position is located in the Information Technology (IT) Directorate, Office of the Chief Information Officer at the Headquarters of the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) located in Arlington, Virginia. The primary purpose of this position is to perform work relating to system security, optimization, compliance, deployment, troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of ABMC (IT) systems.
Duties
Take responsibility for key technical aspects of operating and supporting a secure and highly available hybrid on premise and cloud information architecture. Assure that agency's applications remain secure, technically current and supportable and coordinates adoption of security and feature updates and new releases with the business system owner and manager. Lead and participate in technical vulnerability testing and network assessments to counter unauthorized attempts to enter automation information systems. Serve as technical expert on issues concerning IT security/information assurance policy, plans, programs, and initiatives. Implement audit and control measures to ensure activity compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide alternatives to managers to meet security requirements based on the unique needs of the organization and mission requirements. Develop and implement an end-user training and education program to ensure that individual computer users are familiar with computer and information security requirements and are adequately trained to operate and maintain automated information systems in compliance with all applicable regulations and safeguards. Analyze the vulnerabilities and weaknesses of existing computer security programs that could benefit from group training and translates those needs into training and education media.
