Job Description

  • Perform lab-scale downstream processing of vaccine adjuvant & Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) products and process intermediates
  • Perform assays on vaccine adjuvant & LNP products, process intermediates, and related experimental samples using biochemical/analytical tests
  • Prepare solutions/reagents
  • Set-up process equipment for lab-scale experiments
  • Maintain records and experimental results following good manufacturing practices (GMP)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of industry experience or Masters in Engineering with 6+ years of industry experience or PhD in Engineering with 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

  • Experience with adjuvant and LNP process unit operations including Extrusion, Tee-mixing, Multi-Inlet-Vortex-Mixing (MIVM), Homogenization/Microfluidization, Filtration, Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF)
  • Scale up experience related to liposome and LNP formation unit ops including, but not limited to, Extrusion, Teemixing, Microfluidization/Homogenization
  • Experience handling potent compound lipids (OEB4 & 5) and working in isolators and Ventilated Booth Enclosures (VBEs)
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skill
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Proven ability to work independently in hands-on laboratory setting

Additional Information

Position is full-time and permanent, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with over time as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to West Point, PA are encouraged to apply. On-site work is expected in order to be effective in this role.
