We are looking to fill a Scientist III- Potency Assay position working as a full-time employee of Parexel FSP on long-term assignment onsite at one of our clients located in Rahway, NJ. This position offers full benefits, sick time, 401K, paid holidays, and paid time off. This position does not offer any sponsorship.
Scientist III – Potency Assay supports routine testing for release, stability studies, in-process, and/or cell-line development
Responsibilities
Supports routine testing for release, stability studies, in-process, and/or cell-line development
Monitors the controlled temperature units
Completes sample submission & sample management
Maintains accurate documentation and records
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry or biologics, or a Master’s degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry or biologics
Required Skills and Experience
Current cellular and/or molecular biology and immunoassay experience
Analysis of biologics including monoclonal antibodies and/or other therapeutic proteins in one or more of the following techniques:
Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), host cell proteins (HCP), protein-A proA), and binding potency assay
Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and basic molecular biology techniques
(gel electrophoresis, etc.)
High-throughput liquid handling system, e.g., Tecan, Bravo, etc.
Analytical software including Softmax Pro, Empower, and ChemStation
Experience with BSL2 (Biosafety Level 2)
Sample submission & sample management
