We are looking to fill a Scientist III - Analytical Chemist- Chromatography Focus position working as a full-time employee of Parexel FSP on long-term assignment onsite at one of our clients located in West Point, PA. This position offers full benefits, sick time, 401K, paid holidays, and paid time off.
This role will join a collaborative team of analytical chemists supporting non-clinical drug development across multiple therapeutic areas and modalities. The individual will contribute to sample management, GLP analytical testing, data interpretation, documentation, and compliance activities that enable the progression of development programs.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a closely related field with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree in chemistry or a closely related field with at least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Manage non-clinical study samples, including receipt, tracking, organization, and documentation.
Support execution of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) activities, including dose formulation analysis using HPLC and related analytical techniques.
Document experimental procedures, execution, results, and conclusions in a detailed, organized, and compliant manner consistent with ALCOA principles.
Troubleshoot and investigate challenges associated with GLP testing through proactive collaboration with cross-functional non-clinical teams, Quality stakeholders, and other technical partners.
Perform data entry and data review, and author analytical reports, data summaries, and other study-supporting documentation.
Support compliance, audit, and inspection-readiness activities by ensuring work is accurate, traceable, and well documented.
Assist in maintaining the laboratory in a compliant, safe, and inspection-ready state.
Required Skills and Experience
Adaptability to changing assignments, schedules, and priorities while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and effective verbal and written communication.
Good understanding of GLP compliance requirements and ALCOA documentation principles.
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
Excellent organization skills to multi-task and to manage multiple projects.
HPLC skills including routine sample analysis and instrument troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with Empower software or a similar chromatography data system is a plus.
