Job Description
- Responsible for planning, overseeing and participating in the execution of LIMS, operations, quality and client service projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.
- Monitor project progress and deliver status reports, timelines, issues, risks and action items to stakeholders and team membersÂ
- Develop, maintain, and participate in project plan for lab implementation of LIMS system and projects enhancing functionality of LIMS systemÂ
- Proactively lead operational projects (including new laboratory builds) to ensure project deliverables are metÂ
- Understands all applicable aspects of the project, including rationale for the project, regulations that affect the project, different methods employed by the client and laboratory to produce resultÂ
- Coordinate implementation of quality software platform across all food laboratories and manage and communicate enhancements to the software packageÂ
- Perform technical review of incoming workÂ
- Manage vendors for sub-contacted work and research options for additional vendorsÂ
- Manage and participate in all aspects of large, client requests for proposal (RFP) to deliver a complete and quality product by client deadlinesÂ
Qualifications
- 4-year degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or closely related field
- 2+ years of laboratory experience
- Effective problem prevention and problem-solving skills
- Written and verbal communication skills necessary to cross multiple disciplines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficiency with LIMS and Client Portal systems
- Â Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
