The Opportunity
This position works out of one of our Madison, WI office locations, in the Cancer Diagnostics division.
As the Precision Oncology & Rare Disease Sales Training Manager, you'll have the chance to lead the commercial training needs regarding oncology and rare disease products including, but not limited to, new hire and on-going continued education programs. These training programs, which are focused on oncology product training for all on-market products as well as evolving pipeline products, will be varied by departmental objectives and will include product specific training, disease-state training, and other professional development programs. This position will collaborate cross-functionally with field sales, the commercial effectiveness team, sales leadership, marketing, and customer service.
What You'll Work On
Develop, support, and deliver components of the sales training program related to the promotion of the Abbott Cancer Diagnostics oncology products for both newly hired and experienced commercial team members.
Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to develop and deliver learning opportunities for all departments within the organization that require assistance to attain learning objectives.
Partner with marketing, medical affairs, and sales leadership to develop interactive and impactful workshops at national, area, and regional sales meetings.
Conduct ongoing assessments of potential learning gaps through collaboration with peers, sales leadership, medical affairs, marketing, and other partners to design and deploy targeted programs that reduce knowledge gaps and enhance field effectiveness through improvement of competencies.
Update job knowledge and stay current on trends through activities; including, but not limited to, participation in educational opportunities, read professional publications, maintain personal networks, and participate in professional organizations.
Ability to be perceived as a leader without having direct authority, manage multiple priorities, and tailor training and presentation contents based on the audience.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or field as outlined in the essential duties.
5+ years of sales or commercial experience.
3+ years of experience working in oncology, or other specialty spaces within healthcare.
Ability to successfully work cross-functionally with other departments and key stakeholders.
Written and verbal communication skills to convey complex oncology information in a clear and engaging manner.
Ability to distill high-level scientific information into easily understood concepts for an audience with diverse educational backgrounds and experience.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and ability apply those principles in a medical environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in project management and developing and delivering effective presentations.
Experience in oncology sales, diagnostic sales, or sales training.
Relevant certifications related to sales training, oncology, or diagnostics.
Demonstrated understanding of molecular diagnostics and therapy selection for oncology.
The base pay for this position is
$99,300.00 – $198,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
