Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer | Machinist to support production by creating CAM programs, performing full CNC mill setups, designing fixturing, and verifying first‑article parts. This role requires expert‑level CAM programming ability and strong hands‑on machining skills. Candidates must be able to take apart from print to production with minimal supervision.
Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance
Work Schedule: 7AM–3:30PM
Please Note: Candidates must currently reside within a 30–45 minute commutable distance of the worksite or be able to self‑fund an immediate relocation
Responsibilities:
- Design and produce fixturing for new and repeat jobs.
- Work overtime as needed to support production schedules.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and process deviations.
- Complete production travelers, documentation, and quality sign‑offs.
- Follow all safety procedures and support preventive maintenance activities.
- Review work orders, blueprints, and GD&T to plan machining operations.
- Prove out new programs and verify first‑article parts to print specifications.
- Create CAM programs and generate machine‑ready G‑code (software flexible)
- Set tool registers, offsets, compensation, feeds/speeds, and reference points.
- Perform full CNC mill setups including tooling, chucks, collets, vices, and attachments.
- Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other metrology tools.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- All education levels considered.
- Strong blueprint and GD&T interpretation.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work onsite daily.
- Hands‑on CNC mill setup, tooling, and fixturing experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining processes and adjust programs.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience with expert CAM programming ability.
Work Environment:
- Onsite manufacturing environment.
- Overtime may be required based on production needs.
