Launch Your Recruiting Career in Supply Chain & Logistics
Ready to turn your communication skills, curiosity, judgment, and drive into a rewarding career?
Direct Recruiters, Inc. (DRI) is hiring a driven professional to join our Supply Chain & Logistics executive search practice in a candidate-delivery-focused role. Recruiting experience is not required. We’re looking for someone with at least one year of professional experience who is comfortable on the phone, motivated by goals, and ready to develop expertise in a relationship-driven business.
You’ll work alongside experienced recruiters to identify, engage, evaluate, and support high-impact professionals across supply chain, logistics, procurement, transportation, distribution, operations, and related functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning about people and businesses, can build trust quickly, and is willing to be respectfully tenacious in pursuing results.
What You’ll Do
Identify and engage prospective candidates through outbound calls, referrals, networking, research, and recruiting platforms.
Recruit passive professionals who may not be actively looking but could be open to the right opportunity.
Assess qualifications, communication style, leadership capabilities, and alignment with client needs.
Present well-qualified candidates to the search team with clear, accurate summaries and recommendations.
Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current searches and future hiring needs.
Research companies, competitors, talent markets, industry trends, and professionals across the supply chain ecosystem.
Develop market mastery within supply chain and logistics, including areas such as procurement, sourcing, planning, transportation, warehousing, distribution, operational excellence, and supply chain technology.
Maintain accurate recruiting activity, candidate information, and follow-up plans in our CRM.
Collaborate closely with practice leaders and recruiters to keep searches moving and deliver an outstanding candidate experience.
Executive recruiting combines elements of sales, consulting, research, and relationship management. Success requires consistent outreach, careful listening, sound judgment, and the resilience to keep moving when calls go unanswered or a candidate says no. You’ll connect accomplished professionals with meaningful career opportunities while helping clients build stronger organizations.
Why Build Your Career at DRI?
Become an expert in a business-critical market. Supply chain and logistics affect nearly every industry. You’ll build knowledge across manufacturing, industrial products, consumer goods, life sciences, food and beverage, packaging, technology, logistics services, and other growing sectors.
Focus on candidate delivery. Your primary responsibility will be finding, engaging, assessing, and supporting talent—not developing new client business.
Learn market mastery. You’ll move beyond résumé matching to understand the companies, people, functions, trends, and relationships that shape the supply chain talent market.
Contribute from the start. Our Supply Chain & Logistics team supports active searches ranging from emerging professionals to senior executives, giving you meaningful opportunities to make an impact.
Receive hands-on training. Learn executive search directly from experienced recruiters and industry specialists through coaching, observation, practice, and real search assignments.
Control your earning potential. Earn base compensation plus uncapped commission tied to your performance and results.
Build a long-term career. Grow from candidate delivery and recruiting execution into deeper industry specialization, full-cycle recruiting, client development, and potential leadership opportunities.
Join an established firm. DRI brings more than 40 years of executive search experience and long-standing relationships throughout North America.
Be recognized for strong performance. Participate in incentive programs, milestone celebrations, and other forms of performance-based recognition.
Receive comprehensive benefits. Benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage; a 401(k); paid time off; and additional employee-focused offerings.
Who We’re Looking For
At least one year of professional work experience.
Strong verbal communication skills and confidence initiating conversations by phone.
The ability to listen carefully, ask insightful questions, and build rapport with different personalities.
Sound judgment and an interest in understanding what motivates people.
A track record of managing responsibilities and following through on commitments.
Respectful tenacity—the ability to pursue candidates consistently while maintaining professionalism and trust.
A competitive, goal-oriented mindset and motivation to measure progress through activity and results.
Resilience and the ability to stay motivated when calls go unanswered, candidates decline, or results take time.
Initiative, resourcefulness, and practical problem-solving skills.
Curiosity about people, businesses, industries, and how organizations operate.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and disciplined follow-up.
Self-awareness and openness to coaching and candid feedback.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
The ability to work onsite in our Solon, Ohio office.
Experience in sales, customer service, account management, business development, recruiting, hospitality, athletics, or another goal-oriented or phone-intensive environment can translate especially well to this opportunity.
What to Expect
Recruiting can be highly rewarding, but building expertise and a strong network takes time. The first year requires consistent effort, frequent outreach, continuous learning, and the perseverance to keep improving before every result is visible. Even when you execute the process well, searches and placements will not always move according to plan.
For the right person, that challenge creates an opportunity to build valuable industry knowledge, meaningful professional relationships, uncapped earning potential, and a long-term career. You do not need to arrive as a recruiting expert, but you do need the curiosity, work ethic, and tenacity to become one.
