The Opportunity:
Our location in Columbus, Ohio currently has an opportunity for a Senior Business Human Resources (BHR) Manager. Columbus, Ohio, is one of five Abbott nutrition manufacturing plants in the U.S. Working here, you’ll feel part of a family – a family of 500 that works together to help nourish the world.
What You'll Work On:
Serve as a strategic HR partner and trusted advisor to site and business leadership, representing HR on the leadership team and translating business objectives into human capital strategies and actionable workforce plans. Provide insights and recommendations on organizational effectiveness, talent, workforce planning, culture, and change initiatives to support current and future business priorities
Lead talent management processes including performance management, succession planning, organizational design, workforce planning, and leadership development.
Influence and coach leaders through business transformation, organizational change, and complex people-related challenges, ensuring sustainable adoption and business results.
Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Compensation, Learning & Development, and other HR partners to deliver integrated HR solutions that meet business needs.
Use workforce analytics, talent metrics, and business data to identify trends, develop insights, and inform strategic decision-making.
Build strong relationships across the organization and effectively influence stakeholders at multiple levels to advance business and talent priorities.
Champion an inclusive, high-performing culture that drives employee engagement, accountability, diversity, and business performance.
Ensure HR practices are implemented in compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and Abbott policies while appropriately leveraging Employee Relations and Legal partners
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience with exposure to multiple functions (talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, talent management, training, employee development, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing environment required with a mature Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement culture preferred. Experience in the food & beverage industry preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of business financials and metrics as well as how HR can impact them.
Able to effectively interact with all levels of employees and all areas of the company. Experience working in a shared service HR model is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and problem solving, decision-making skills required.
Strong presentation skills and facilitation experience needed to effectively deliver a wide variety of HR-related training to groups of both managers and employees.
Ability to successfully influence others not under his/her supervision to ensure desired results are achieved.
Bias for action, strong work ethic and desire to achieve excellence.
Solution oriented. Can identify issues early. Comfortable working in an environment which demands business results.

The base pay for this position is
$129,300.00 – $258,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
