Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
Perform applicant physical examinations in accordance with agency standards and assist with applicant medical processing at a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). Ensure the confidentiality of applicants is respected and that professionalism is maintained at all times in the medical department. Perform applicant medical prescreening as directed by the Chief Medical Officer. Conduct complete face-to-face medical histories on applicants who have completed the prescreen process and have been authorized to process. Complete all computer and non-computer based medical documentation in accordance with the Command's software packages and policies. Verify problems or conditions alleged by the examinees and recommend to Command physicians if a more detailed physical exam of problem areas is required. Prepare electronic and non-electronic documentation used to assess the applicant’s mental and physical fitness for service in the military. Perform physical inspections of previously qualified applicants to document their status for meeting standards at the time of actual enlistment on active duty and at any other time as required. Perform a variety of professional direct health care duties within the field of general medicine.
