Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Physician (Chief Physician), you will: Provide consultation on MCHB programs to the Associate Administrator and Deputy Associate Administrator regarding health policy, program priorities, clinical quality and safety, legislative impact, and external activities. Provide leadership and strategic direction to MCHB Division/Office Directors, assesses and implements plans and policies that further support the mission of the Bureau and the achievement of HRSA's goals. Be responsible for clinical and public health consultation and leading the design, direction, and execution of MCHB programs. Direct special projects such as preparing issue and decision papers relating to the MCHB or HRSA programs and plans for use in briefings for a variety of officials, including White House and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) officials, and Congressional staff to inform decision-making by the MCHB and HRSA directors and others on major policy issues.
