A Day in the Life
This is a field based role. We are seeking a committed professional to join our team, required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role, which also involves travel outside the territory, presenting opportunities for broader engagement.

At Medtronic, theĀ Clinical SpecialistĀ supports theĀ Pelvic HealthĀ Therapy groups in the areas of surgical coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customerĀ serviceĀ and education within a territory. āÆIn certain instances, this roleāÆmay be engaged in basic market development activities depending upon the needs of the assigned territory.Ā

Responsibilities may include theĀ followingĀ and other duties may be assigned.Ā
RepresentsĀ MedtronicĀ Pelvic HealthĀ during surgeries and implants by providing all necessary equipment and productsĀ requiredĀ for the implant,Ā demonstratesĀ expertiseĀ in all aspects of implant, follow-up support and troubleshooting techniques (such as proper device selection,Ā appropriate programming, correctĀ implantationĀ and testing of all device systems).Ā
Maintains current knowledge about assigned products and services as well as competitive products.āÆĀ
For new and existing accounts, this positionĀ is able toĀ proactivelyĀ identifyĀ needs and teach a broader level of caregivers and account employees.āÆĀ
Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to our products and therapies. This is achieved by coordinating: one on one sessions, in service education programs, seminars and/or outside symposiums. āÆĀ
AssistsĀ district manager and in-house training department in education/training of new employees in the district (therapy consultants, clinical specialists, field clinical engineers, etc.). āÆĀ
Provides sales support during or following cases such as completing the necessary documentation (for example: implant registration, temporary id cards, packing list) andĀ is able toĀ execute invoices in a variety of different situations. āÆThis positionĀ is able toĀ place an order with customer service for pending purchase orders and product replacement.Ā
Maintains open and effective communication with all district personnel,Ā customersĀ and other Medtronic employees. āÆĀ
Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects at the regional and/or national level.Ā
Has an understanding of all quality policy/system items that areāÆapplicable.Ā āÆĀ
FollowsĀ all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance andĀ high qualityĀ work.Ā
Performs other related activities, as assigned.Ā

Clinical skill and knowledge (ex. ability to conduct a simple trial, implant and/or refill a pump)Ā
Clinical experience with implantable Neuromodulation products and stim experienceĀ

Experience working with a medical deviceāÆor pharmaceutical companyāÆand clinical experience in a specialty area: urology, surgical, RN, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room,āÆor home health careĀ
Ability to communicate effectively with sales and health care professionalsĀ
Ability to coach others on use of products and clinical applicationsĀ

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
