Summary
This position is located at the Unity Healing Center (UHC), Nashville Area Indian Health Service, Cherokee, NC. The purpose of the position is to provide nursing direction to the residential substance abuse treatment services to adolescent Native American youth in accordance with the Indian Health Service policies. . A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Duties
Assists with the program planning for the nursing activities. Develops Nursing policies and procedures. Participates in quality improvement activities for nursing. Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. IHS may offer newly-appointed Federal employees credit for their directly related previous non-federal experience or active duty uniformed military service. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave. This position is ineligible for the Bargaining Unit. Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized.
