A Day in the Life
We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role.

The Principal Clinical Specialist supports the Ear, Nose and Throat Therapies in the areas of surgical coverage, follow-up support, troubleshooting, customerĀ serviceĀ and education.Ā This person will be engaged in basic market development activities depending upon the needs of the assigned territory and district.Ā

This is aĀ field basedĀ role.
Responsibilities may include theĀ followingĀ and other duties may be assigned.Ā
RepresentsĀ Medtronic during surgical procedures by ensuring access to all necessary equipment and productsĀ requiredĀ for the case, device selection, programming,Ā implantationĀ and testing of all device systemsĀ
Provides clinical support in surgeries, troubleshooting and follow ups in hospitals and clinicsĀ
Responds promptly and appropriately to technical inquiries by customers, patients, and colleaguesĀ
Maintains a working knowledge of competitive productsĀ
Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to our products and therapiesĀ
Assists Management and Sales Training department in education/training of new employees in the districtĀ
Complies withĀ required event reporting and documentationĀ utilizingĀ Medtronic technology toolsĀ
Accountable to place an order with customer service for pending purchase orders and product replacement andĀ is responsible forĀ working with materials management to collect POs for cases covered within the territory/districtĀ
Responsible for managing inventory provided for case coverageĀ
Contributes to the achievement of quarterly goals associated with specific initiatives at the district and/or national levelĀ
Partners with sales representatives to achieve business goals set forth within the territory/district and documents quarterly activitiesĀ utilizingĀ provided business tool(s)Ā
Visits accounts to replenish literature andĀ establishes/maintains relationships with office staffĀ
Ability to effectively use a mobile phone, IPAD and PCĀ
Ability to manage personal expenses and budget effectivelyĀ
Ensures personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicableĀ
Follows all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality workĀ

Ability to work efficiently and autonomously with little direction when outside of clinical eventsĀ

Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.⯠In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application. Must be able to drive approximately 50% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel.Ā Ā āÆĀ Ā
