Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Clinical Medical Assistant to support providers in
a busy podiatry practice. This role involves direct patient care, clinical procedures, documentation, and
patient education while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient triage, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, complete medical
histories and reconciliations.
- Complete and process physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Transmit prescriptions electronically per provider instructions and regulatory requirements.
- Assist podiatry providers with minor procedures, treatments, and examinations.
- Perform venipuncture and properly handle, label, and process specimens.
- Prepare patients and rooms for diagnostic procedures, including ultrasound exams.
- Clean, dress, and manage foot and ankle wounds according to clinical protocols.
- Dispense durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) in compliance
with guidelines.
- Educate patients on proper use, application, and care of DMEPOS.
- Ensure completion and documentation of waivers, consent forms, and required medical records.
- Operate and maintain autoclave equipment and ensure proper sterilization of instruments.
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized exam rooms in accordance with infection control standards.
- Perform x-rays safely and efficiently (apply for Podiatric x-ray operator license after required hours)
Qualifications:
- Certificate in Medical Assisting
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Requirements
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent Required
- Certified Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited teaching establishment Required
- If not currently certified, must obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- 1 to 2 years of related work experience is Preferred
- Bilingual Preferred
