Sr. Business Aligned Finance Analyst - Corporate Finance Advisory

About this role:

 

Wells Fargo is seeking a Sr. Business Aligned Finance Analyst to work on the Corporate Finance Advisory (CFA) team. In this role you will drive strategic financial analysis, peer benchmarking, and executive reporting to support business performance and decision-making. At the direction of the senior most levels in Finance, work on ad hoc requests and project with impacts across the enterprise and providing broad exposure across the Finance organization (CFO teams, Investor Relations, Corporate Development, FP&A, Treasury, Controllers, etc.).

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess business performance and competitive positioning; identify financial improvement opportunities
• Perform ad hoc analyses in support of key deliverables related to profitability/other key metric comparisons, business strategy, valuation and capital positioning vs competitors
• Support Finance executive leadership on high-profile presentations, including Board and Investor Relations materials
• Build and maintain financial models and recurring reporting packages
• Partner and support core FP&A deliverables where needed: ad hoc analysis for executive meetings, Budget and Forecast reviews, management reporting, and actual-vs-plan variance analysis with driver commentary
• Leverage AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot, GenAI platforms, ROGO, automation scripts) to accelerate data aggregation and enhance analytical work across ad hoc and recurring deliverables, improving turnaround speed and analytical depth
• Support improvements to Finance methodologies and infrastructure
• Support senior management discussions via key workstreams

 

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience within finance, FP&A, investment banking, strategy, or related roles covering the financial services industry

• Familiarity with regulatory capital rules, liquidity standards, and asset/liability management practices
• Proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership; Visual/verbal data trend presentation preparation for management reporting
• Strong analytical skills specifically related to assembling and interpreting financial analyses to support deliverables across CFA and FP&A related to planning, forecasting, management reporting, and variance analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills: financial modeling and proficiency creating presentations suitable for executive management
• Familiarity with AI/GenAI tools and their practical application to financial analysis, modeling, or reporting automation (e.g., Excel Copilot, LLM tools like Rogo Felix, Python-based automation) a plus
• Familiarity with enterprise planning systems (e.g., Oracle Hyperion Essbase), data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau),
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Job Expectations:

• This position offers a hybrid work schedule from our 550 S. Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 location.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$100,000.00 - $163,000.00
