What you’ll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Director, Corporate Controllers, Reporting & Accounting in New York, NY to Participate in firm-wide Basel III Endgame implementation, directly impacting RWA calculations and capital allocation strategy across global businesses including investment management, wealth management, and institutional securities. Assist on Equity Investment RWA methodologies, with specific focus on private equity funds, credit funds, and securitization, as well as IFI capital deduction methodologies. Deliver comprehensive capital analysis, advising on regulatory capital treatment of private fund structures and illiquid credit exposures. Conduct capital forecast for Morgan Stanley equity investment portfolio and for the securitized trading book positions. Partner with trading desks and investment management teams to identify capital efficiency improvements, enhancing risk-adjusted returns on private market allocations. Interface with regulators and senior stakeholders on capital adequacy frameworks, representing the firm's positions on private fund and credit investment methodologies. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

What you’ll bring to the role:

-Requires a Master’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related field of study

-Requires one (1) years of experience in the position offered or one (1) years as an Associate, Analyst, or a closely related occupation

- Requires one (1) year of experience with the following skills:

• Financial analysis of balance sheet and income statement activity for financial services products;
• Regulatory Capital Reporting and Compliance, Volcker Regulation, Basel III, and Basel IV;
• Risk-weighted assets (RWA) and deduction calculation;
• Credit Risk, Market Risk, and Operational Risk;
• Numerator;
• Performance drivers, external reporting principles, and financial reporting standards to assess the treatment of products; 
• Booking and trading models; 
• Joint Venture agreements; 
• Presenting capital trends, risks, and variances to senior finance and business stakeholders; 
• Excel models; 
• Microsoft Visual Basic (VBA); 
• Python;
• Comprehensive Capital and Analysis Review (CCAR) and Dodd-Frank Act Stress Tests (DFAST);
• Analyzing financial and operational data sets from internal systems; and
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $148,000 and $155,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
