Sr. Associate, Finance Automation (Yardi)

Position Summary

The Yardi Supervisor will lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of Yardi Commercial Suite solutions for real estate owners, operators, developers, and investment managers. This role will serve as a subject matter expert across Yardi Commercial, Construction Manager, Job Cost, PayScan, and Fixed Assets and will work directly with client stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, financial reporting, controls, and technology enablement.

Key Responsibilities

Yardi Commercial Management

• Lead implementations and optimization initiatives for Yardi Commercial modules.
• Configure properties, leases, tenants, recoveries, budgets, and operational workflows.
• Analyze current-state business processes and design leading-practice solutions within Yardi.
• Support commercial lease administration, CAM reconciliations, accounting, and financial reporting.

Construction and Job Cost

• Lead requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment for Yardi Construction Manager and Job Cost.
• Configure job structures, cost codes, budgets, commitments, contracts, change orders, forecasts, and draws.
• Support construction and development accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
• Design and optimize workflows supporting project managers, development teams, and accounting users.

PayScan and Procure-to-Pay

• Implement and support Yardi PayScan invoice processing and approval workflows.
• Configure approval hierarchies, routing rules, vendor processes, and integration with Accounts Payable.
• Help clients automate invoice processing and strengthen procurement and payment controls.
• Develop operational reporting and key performance indicators related to invoice processing and approvals.

Fixed Assets

• Configure and support Yardi Fixed Assets functionality.
• Support asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and reporting.
• Work with accounting teams to align fixed asset records with the general ledger.
• Assist with asset reconciliation, data conversion, and audit support activities.

Client Delivery and Project Leadership

• Lead discovery workshops, requirements sessions, and solution design meetings.
• Prepare process documentation, configuration workbooks, test scripts, and training materials.
• Lead system testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Provide client training, knowledge transfer, and executive-level status reporting.
• Manage workplans, risks, issues, deliverables, and project team coordination.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to practice development and growth initiatives.

Reporting, Data, and Integration

• Support report specifications, financial and operational reporting, and data validation.
• Assist with data migration, conversion, reconciliation, and cutover activities.
• Support integration design between Yardi and third-party systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting and analytics through Yardi, Power BI, or related tools.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Yardi implementation, optimization, or administration experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Yardi Commercial, Construction Manager, Job Cost, PayScan, and Fixed Assets.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate accounting, lease administration, construction accounting, and development operations.
• Experience with system implementations, upgrades, optimization initiatives, or module deployments.
• Experience facilitating requirements workshops and translating business needs into system configuration and process design.
• Strong client-facing, project management, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, Real Estate, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Yardi Voyager 7S and/or Voyager 8.
• Experience with Yardi Investment Suite, Facilities, P2P, or related modules.
• Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Power Query, or other data and reporting tools.
• Experience with data migration, system integration, and financial reconciliation.
• CPA, PMP, Yardi certification, or other relevant professional credential.
• Consulting experience supporting office, industrial, retail, mixed-use, multifamily, or development portfolios.
