Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Engineer to provide front office IT, facilities, logistics, and project integration support in a fast-paced operational environment. The candidate will work closely with Department leadership, IT, facilities, security, customer stakeholders, and support organizations to coordinate personnel onboarding, IT and facilities requirements, equipment and property accountability, and day-to-day operational needs. The candidate will manage multiple concurrent taskings, provide status and progress reporting to senior leadership, document and improve processes, and support long-term planning for a larger-scale IT infrastructure across the WMA. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of working independently while coordinating across multiple organizations.

 

Examples of duties include but are not limited to:

 

IT, Facilities, and Logistics Support:

  • Manage department distribution groups, folder accesses, user account requests, and other IT access requirements.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for staff and contractors, including IT equipment, access, facilities, and property requirements.
  • Gather, document, submit, and track IT and facilities requests through completion using customer-specific databases and tracking tools.
  • Coordinate office changes, workspace requirements, equipment movements, and Ad Hoc facilities requests.
  • Support IT and facilities personnel with inventory checks, audits, equipment tracking, and reconciliation activities.
  • Serve as the customer's accountable property custodian and maintain the controlled property database, including property transfers and Property Turn-In (PTI) requests.
  • Maintain accountability for department pagers and other assigned equipment.
  • Support enterprise-wide IT equipment initiatives by coordinating schedules, requirements, and status across the division.
  • Develop long-term integration plans supporting a planned larger-scale office move within the WMA.

Project and Program Management:

  • Track multiple concurrent projects, actions, requirements, schedules, and deliverables through completion.
  • Provide regular status updates and progress reporting to department and senior-level leadership.
  • Ensure appropriate security need-to-know and leadership approvals are obtained before initiating or advancing tasks.
  • Develop and maintain processes, procedures, workflows, guides, and electronic records supporting departmental operations.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and capability gaps and recommend improvements to workflow, resource allocation, and operational approaches.
  • Conduct research and deeper-dive analyses on emerging requirements and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Coordinate with IT, facilities, security, and other support organizations to resolve issues and close action items.
  • Support Ad Hoc projects and taskings as directed by department leadership.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent taskings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to anticipate leadership and customer needs and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Experience with IT, facilities, logistics, inventory, property accountability, or project management activities.
  • Experience developing and maintaining processes, procedures, documentation, and electronic records.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use customer-specific databases, applications, and workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to conduct research and develop recommendations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and tasks with a high degree of discretion.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and common collaboration, tracking, and documentation tools.

Experience and Education:

  • Prior customer-facing experience supporting IT, facilities, logistics, project management, or operational activities.
  • Experience with accountable property, inventory systems, office moves, or infrastructure integration preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 3 years; or an additional 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • TS/SCI with Poly.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
