Summary

This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated August 12,2024. This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

Duties

As a Supervisory Interdisciplinary Physical Scientist/General Engineer at the GS-0801/1301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Directs the Test and Assessment Department's Site Management Division. Provides overall leadership, guidance, and management within the division; first line supervisor for civilian and military personnel. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees; develops, justifies and implements near- and long-term goals for personnel supervised. Organizes and directs testbed resources through subordinate personnel; ensures required maintenance and repair of infrastructure is performed. Supervises the construction, management, and operation of testbed activities to ensure integration of various test efforts, storage of test materials, and maintenance of test bed infrastructure; exercises full authority and responsibility to ensure maintenance and development of testbed infrastructure in support of all test activities. Evaluates testbed effectiveness; makes recommendations to enhance infrastructure.
